The Parker Family has owned and operated the Parker Hardware Store for over 46 years. At one point they were affiliated with TrueValue and in the early 2000's they became affiliated with Ace becoming Parker Ace Hardware. The store has changed hands one time, within the family, to continue the Parker tradition. Recently, many may remember Parker Ace sponsored the Christmas Parade of Lights this past week, but as many of us know they are a very involved business within our community. Parker Ace has thrived on the concept of growing with the time and using that growth to better serve the community. Through the support they have been shown by the community, Parker Ace has always tried to give back, many times sponsoring groups or events for the benefit of all. The altruistic nature of the Parker family have shown many business owners what it means to be a member of this community, and they are proud to be a member for every single one of those 46 years.
Park Ace not only carries tools and all your other hardware needs, they also offer a very popular toy brand, Melissa and Doug. Additionally, once the weather starts changing, and they get the shovels and salt in stock, the Ashmun side of the store has several Christmas Trees shining bright, enticing one to bring the holiday spirit into their home. Parker Ace also offers a wide array of rentals and takes the time to train anyone who is needing equipment for a job around the house or yard. Even with all the services and products offered, they are still willing to better serve the community by being open to suggestions that would accommodate their customers. Currently, Parker Ace Hardware employs approximately 24 people, with a mix of full-time and part-time staff.
