Capstone Leadership Solutions - Creating Positive Change in Healthcare

Capstone Leadership Solutions is located in the SmartZone at 2345 Meridian St., just a few steps away from the Sault EDC offices. Capstone is a healthcare training, coaching, and consulting group that specializes in assessment, planning, and executing key strategies. They offer these services through various means such as boot camps, summits and retreats, on-site customized leader, physician, and employee training events. The end goal of Capstone’s work with these healthcare organizations is to create positive change and results within these organizations.

 

Capstone was co-founded by Jane McLeod and Sue Tetzlaff with the original idea being a part-time business that would supplement their full-time leadership positions at War Memorial Hospital. When McLeod and Tetzlaff saw the improvements after one year in their first two partner hospitals they knew it was time to make Capstone a full-time operation. They remained in the Sault because it’s where they call home. As the business continues to succeed, McLeod and Tetzlaff have also wrote a book called The Employee Experience;  A Capstone Guide to Peak Performance (https://goo.gl/iseSvt), published in 2016 and they are currently working on a second book called The Patient Experience; A Capstone Guide to Peak Performance.

 

Capstone is a special business due to the level of real world experience by both of the founders. McLeod has worked within the healthcare industry for more than 30 years, with most of her career being in front-line and leadership roles. Tetzlaff has worked within healthcare leadership roles for more than 20 years, with her positions including Chief Nursing Officer, Interim CEO, and Chief Operating Officer. Through these real world experiences, McLeod and Tetzlaff can cite examples that show their solutions work. The many clients that have worked with Capstone feel that the customized service that is tailored to their individual organization creates solutions that are specific to their organization. Through those customized services, the results have been great within those organizations.

 

Capstone currently employs six people and works with four others for specific contract services.
