City Wide Clean-Up Day

“The Beauty of the SOO……Depends on YOU!”

What is the City Wide Clean Up Day?
It’s a three-hour event where volunteers rid our City streets of litter and debris.

Who Can Participate?
Anyone……….get some friends together or sign-up and participate with a group that is already registered.

What If I Don’t Live Inside City limits?
Doesn’t matter! Although the Clean Up takes place within the limits of Sault Ste. Marie, anyone can participate.

Do I Need to Pre-Register?
It is helpful to pre-register by calling Becky at 632-5779 or email bbottrell@sault.com . This saves time by choosing an area, obtaining garbage bags, and then going directly to your assigned area the morning of the event. You are also then guaranteed a Clean Up t-shirt by pre-registering.

What If I didn’t Pre-Register? Can I Still Participate?
YES! Meet at the Fire Hall between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. the day of the event.

What About the Picnic?
A picnic lunch is held at the Sherman Park Pavilion starting at Noon. Food and prizes are donated each year by individuals and local businesses. Grand prizes consist of a gas grill for an adult winner and two $50 gift cards for kids. You must be present at the time of the drawing to win. City Wide Clean Up t-shirts are also given to the first 200 volunteers that have signed up and participated.
